Dorique Collection – Vessels and Lighting

The formal language of the Doric collection is reminiscent of the Greek column, the architectural icon that itself inspired the Renaissance style. The symmetry and balance of the motifs and ornamentation highlighted in the pieces of the collection are also characteristics of the language used during this period. Taken out of its historical context and reworked to give it more playful proportions, this borrowed aesthetic is also part of a “Renaissance” of the postmodern movement and its exploded codes.
