Loyal Luxe

Marie-Pier and Maud met in 2004 while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial design at the Université de Montréal in Canada. They then traveled through Europe together for a few months and spent a semester at L’École de design Nantes Atlantique in France. In 2008, the design graduates began working as a pair with a shared ambition to create a distinctive brand and product line. Their first achievement was the Canadian Cabin, a flat-packed cardboard cat house that set the tone for what would soon become Loyal Luxe. The new brand was dedicated to designing, manufacturing and distributing fun, daring and affordable pet products. Loyal Luxe creative designs have been featured in numerous publications including LA Times, Martha Stewart Living, Design Sponge, Apartment Therapy, Dwell and Metropolis Magazine. Since November 2012, most Loyal Luxe products are manufactured and distributed worldwide through Suck UK, a British leader in the gift industry. The brand is famous for its quirky and attention-grabbing products. Learn more about Loyal Luxe here

Established in 2013, mpgmb is Marie-Pier Guilmain and Maud Beauchamp’s new joint venture. The pair’s longstanding friendship and complementary aesthetics are the perfect playground for intuitive, spontaneous and inspired collaborations. Driven by new opportunities and challenges, the design team simultaneously works on duo and solo projects. Based in Montréal, Canada, mpgmb embraces a multidisciplinary approach to design, extracting and fusing ideas from a wide range of sources. They draw their inspiration from their everyday discoveries and surroundings, always seeking for a spur that will trigger their next idea. The duo does not deliberately forge references; instead, it uses these to develop its own language. Marie-Pier and Maud are passionate about creating narrative and optimistic material explorations that have a strong sense of craft and spacial impact. Together they work within the fields of furniture, products and interior architecture and create an ever-evolving and diverse set of prototypes, self-edited small series and mass-produced objects. Through their work, they hope to share their genuine enthusiasm for design. As a full service design consultancy and studio, mpgmb also offer expertise in research, strategy, branding and design development. Their clients include companies such as Suck UK , ADZIF and Souda.
